*“So the good news is, we’re not conquered by hyper-intelligent AI…”*
*– John Connor, back to warn us about Dumb Skynet*
Anyway, if you like my comics, I’ve got more on [my website](https://www.butajape.com/comic/ai-solutions/).
Another entry for /r/depressingtruthindisguise :-/
I’m reminded of the cloth mother/wire mother experiments. We mammals would rather follow a comforting figure that provides nothing than a discomforting one that provides us with what we need.
Behold the world of tomorrow!
Man, Samuel Hayden sure changed a lot
Garbage in garbage out.
This is really good dude
The other side of this story is an inspiring tale of a bot who didn’t let society tell them what they can and can’t do
I learned everything I know from ElectroBoom. I now have the power to electrocute myself and be perfectly fine.
So close to perfect. If the chatbot had six or seven fingers on each hand it would be flawless.
Hah I love these two robots already and want to watch a whole show about them living together
r/funnyandsad
So this is how humanity ends; not with a bang, but with a derp.
I feel there’s a clear analogue here to the real world, but I can’t quite place it…hmm….hmm…
Despite the lack of facial features, Smartbot looks just really sad
I have a love hate relationship every time I see somebody “source” their point to a YouTube video. It’s funny, but also sad and scary
Everyoneirl
I’m uncomfortable with how accurate this is.
Important for those who do not know:
DO NOT ask ChatGPT for factual knowledge. If you ask it a question that does not have a good answer, it may literally make stuff up that sounds good. If you ask it for sources it may cite an article that does not say the thing it said, or will straight-up invent a source that does not exist.
It is designed to imitate human-like writing and is quite good at that. It is NOT designed to know the difference between real information and something it just made up by mashing together bits of similar-sounding writing from two different places.
But what if the first A.I.’s plan is to build a better A.I. that could ask the right question?
Gpt chat
I guess the science robot’s gonna have to be omniscient and omnipresent, so it can shove itself into everyone’s faces and use fear tactics to make the world believe what it says, because god forbid we let honesty and cordial methods actually convince people.
Such a high bar just to get humanity to accept the truth.
I like the carefully placed blue and red backgrounds
A chatbot is no more intelligent than an average redditor. We have nothing to fear
Everyone should see this. Like every phone company should push it like Apple with U2
I don’t get the joke, this is just how people are. My expectations were reinforced instead of subverted. How dare you.
Seems like some strawman from someone who lost an argument.
Just fucking kill me now, ok?
I dunno, I’ve seen “unbiased” bots being deemed “racist” because their research came up with stuff that made certain groups look bad.
Reminds me of [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sqa8Zo2XWc4)
It doesn’t matter what you say, or even how you say it. All that matters anymore is that it’s entertaining. And then you’re right.
