Goddammit, my dog does the same thing. So I took to muting the TV before turning off the xbox. Then the dog started reacting to me muting the tv. Lately I’ve been muting/unmuting and turning the xbox on and off randomly to see if I can unlearn her.

Our dog was the same way with the wood stove draft. When it got slammed down around 11pm, he bolted for the bedroom (from his bed near the fire).

That’s adorable. My golden is so routined as well. He come and nudges me at my desk at 4:59 for supper at 5pm every day, I truly don’t know how he does it.
Well I accidentally taught my cats that whenever the lube comes out it means they get a tuna can so they leave me the fuck alone for 5 minutes.

Which sadly means I order pizza far more than real people call me
and now I cry whilst eating my last slice
Our dog does the exact same thing when the tv show ends, she can usually tell because of the sound at the end or the sudden quiet. She will wake up out of a dead sleep and haul ass to her crate, which has a comfy-as-fuck mattress she adores. She is a creature of habit and also she loves to sleep undisturbed.
