/r/osha wants a word with you…
What is this place? It looks like ULA but with bells instead of rockets. There’s a previous generation bell decommissioned in the background. There an observation room with what appears to be bulletproof glass, like in Stranger Things. There’s a giant pit with a giant bell in it!
Is this some DARPA resonance based warfare project? Is it Bell Laboratories? Is someone being rang to death down in the pit?
I need answers!
Felt it from here
Top left may as well not even be in the video..barely touching the damn thing
Ringing a bell like that is a remarkably stupid idea, going back almost 2000 years.
A better way would be to swing the clapper inside, not the entire bell. Much less energy required for that.
This looks like the least efficient way possible for them to swing that bell.
Where are the ropes and pulleys?
Except its not. I know it says so in the video, but it’s “only” 16 metric tons. The biggest bell in the Cologne cathedral is 23 tons with a larger diameter.
So I googled and there’s a ton (pardon the pun) of heavier bells.

TIME MARCHES ON
What a fucking stupid design. It would be so easy to build virtually anything to connect to the top or bottom or the pivot that would require less work, less manpower, and be incredibly safer.
This is the worst designed bell and I haven’t even seen that many other designs up close.
Maybe I’m the dummy here but why wouldn’t you just swing the bell ringer inside the bell instead of trying to move the much heavier bell?
Close your eyes and you start to hear an electric guitar playing the opening riff to Hells Bells from AC/DC.
BAH GAWD IS THAT THE UNDERTAKER!
Dawn of
A New Day
Heaviest if you ignore other heavier bells.
HELLS BELLLLSSSSS
That’s most definitely what is up toobz!
