That was an absolutely boss Spiderman game. There was a wolverine one about the same time that was a banger as well
Octo carnage (I think thats his name) was pure nightmare fuel. Even Spiderman knows when to get the hell away
I remember my grandfather drove me around the city to get me a copy for my birthday. Such a great game tied to an equally great memory!
Was this the same one as the N64? With the Stan Lee voice-over?
‟Die…die….DDDOOOOIIIIEEEE”
What a nightmarish thing.
I replayed this game over and over as a kid because I didn’t have a memory card and this part always scared the shit out of me.
Still remember playing this on my PS1.That final boss fight tho..
Sonic countdown to drowning sound would like a word with you
This was such an entertaining Spider Man game. Although there wasn’t an open world and had limited web-swinging, the game made up for it with it’s fun level design and a great cast of villains.
That game alone was a BEAST! I burned away faaaaar too many hours on that thing, so much fun!
This is the best Spider-man game ever released and you cannot change my mind.
One of the defining games of my childhood.
Such a great fucking game
Eel Nats code to unlock all suits! Shit I haven’t played this in forever
I remember kid me got this game for Christmas and my mom got really mad at me because I was up at like 4am peeking at my presents
Watched my cousin play this when I was little and I just cried. Wasn’t even playing. Just fuckin cried
The character viewer in this game introduced me to so many characters and made me a Marvel fan. And this game made Venom my favorite Marvel character of all time.
“PARKER HATES IT WHEN I GET THE DROP ON HIM!”
“Aw, I hate it when he gets the drop on me!”
I still quote this game regularly.
“SURF THE WEB! SURF THE WEB! SURF THE WEB!”
Well. Guess I’m headed for a replay.
Fuck this boss in particular. Pure nightmare fuel.
WHERE ARE YOU BOY
DIEEEEEE
This game needs a remaster (although the recent Spider-Man games have been good)
I just got so many flashbacks from this image
Just barely failing, over and over again
It’s like the meme of the dog getting Vietnam flashbacks lol
Fun game.
Wow didn’t expect to given a panic attack by a picture, monster ock
You brought back so many repressed memories.
One of my best childhood games ever
For me it was the trex chase in Crash Bandicoot, but this was a close second.
Love the original PlayStation Spider-Man games. Shit I’m going to go legally purchase these
I still remember unlocking all the suits with a chest I got online and using the venom suit which would cause bugs in cutscenes due to the speed boost Spidet gets
Dude, hearing that voice for the first time was so scary
But once you beat it… “Hey, I got a bingo!”
The final boss fight of this game is the camera POV
When I was a kid I literally played this game start to finish every weekend for years
That scream horrifies me every time
I never made it out ever..
My mother got too into it and actually got mad at me because I turned around to get the comic book when I ran a few steps away from it and then proceeded to die. I then got some “life lesson” speech after all of that. This was definitely a great area to introduce panic, tension and a sense of urgency to me as a kid.
What a gem of a game. Can’t believe this was on a PS1.
