Me and my mom were huge black and white horror movie fans. When this came out, I thought we’d die laughing. It parodies the old Frankenstein movies so well. The dart scene, omg, tears rolling down our cheeks. And the casting was superb.
I always like to bring up that he made this movie the same year that he made Blazing Saddles. That means that 2 of the 3 best in his filmography (IMHO the 3rd being Spaceballs) were done back to back and fast.
