This post perfectly sums up your average gamer’s attitude towards mods, and why so many of them, uninformed, blindly repeat “modders will fix it”, or, “wait til molders get there hands on it”.
Modders can’t do shit without modding tools. Very few will be capable of doing anything, and it has to be because of safe assumptions of a common engine paradigm, all until there’s actual engine tools.
Texture replacements, ENBs, ini tweaks. Those don’t count for shit.
People should regularly be asking for modding tools with every game.

As the original creator, the reason it hasn’t happened yet is there’s no nifskope (and the format for models is weird now). I’ve got the models and materials ready, believe me. But I can’t put them in-game until the tools are out.
Buuuut also this time I want him to be a dyson sphere you have to pilot your ship into his eye and destroy his brain. Something fleshy, and organic.
People forget that Thomas didn’t arrive in Skyrim overnight… it took almost two years before he dominated the skies over Skyrim.
