Literally every target in my area has these on the shelf. Still no Xbox Series X.
I sometimes do wonder how much of the blame lies with scalpers. That one image of the guy selling in the street surrounded by a house of PS5s soon after it’s release had me thinking that if quite a few people did that, demand would be literally impossible to meet with the chip shortage and all. Albeit, companies selling the PS5 could do more to limit the ease at which scalpers acquire these units.
I’m worried the ps6 is going to be announced a couple years after I get the ps5
It’s definitely starting to change though. I walked into a Best Buy two weeks ago and bought one. They had like 6 more too. Definitely not normal though, I was walking out to the parking lot with it in hand and a guy whips his car up and excitedly screams “OMG do they have those!?”

I stopped looking and switched to pc. Never turning back. Sony lost a loyal customer.
The Game in the big city nearest me always has them in stock.

I refused to buy jacked up scalper prices. Then Sony went and added their own scalper price. Seems to be more stock around since the price rise but Sony has killed my interest in buying a PS5.

It’s fine. I don’t buy consoles until it has 5 games I want on it. By the middle of next year, there will only be 2 games for PS5 I’ll want. I might skip the PS5 completely.
A month or two ago I was at the electronics store here in my country. The salesman approached me and almost whispered “hey bro, I got five PS5 in the back so you know”.
It almost felt like when you’re being offered drugs in a foreign country.

I stopped paying attention and I don’t even know that there’s any games I’d care to play on any next gen consoles, apart from Horizon Forbidden West. Otherwise I’m just blissfully ignorant.
Gamestop near me has them…..for 800 forced bundle. Get 2 controllers and Madden (but the manager lets you swap it for 1 of 3 chosen used games instead)
I just got an invite to purchase one today from PlayStation. Yay…. Only took two years. They had their window. I’ve moved to PC exclusively. Plus the “PS” exclusives aren’t that great anyways.

In my country there are PS5’s for sale at any electronic store. You can just walk in and buy it lol.
I think both next gen consoles haven’t lived up to the hype.. but this also proves somethings needs to be done about scalpers
Here in the UK I’ve found it easier to get one by walking into the shop. Pointless trying to do it online.
