Recently: the final boss fight in SM: MM. Specifically when Miles is pinned down and looking at the NuForm Reactor going critical. Then saying to the Tinkerer “Because I’m Spider-Man.” Before delivering a hard punch to get unpinned.

All Time: Arthur’s last moments with full honor in RDR2.

Mine is the first install/patch/update of vanilla FFXI. Despite having played EverQuest and the Ultima Online….FFXI was the first time I really felt a part of a global community whilst gaming. Back then, and working second and half shift, 3 am was my prime gaming time. Not a lot of English speakers in those early days. But, with thanks to the brilliant universal translator implemented in FFXI, I was able to game at peak levels with JPN players.

Fighting Liquid on top of Metal Gear Rex. Finding Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts. Capturing all monkeys in Ape Escape. That’s just a few

Wow had to sit and think but can’t think of an actual favorite moment but the most memorable would be gears 3 where dom sacrifices himself, had the kid me in tears. He was my favorite lol

  • Quiagiles

AC Valhalla. When Eivor told Odin to fuck off and let him out of Valhalla because he had a kingdom to run and wife to fuck.

Also when V commits suicide in Cyberpunk and you watch those end credits.

A bunch of moments in Outer Wilds & it’s DLC, Echoes of the Eye. The absolute pinnacle of gaming moments for me.

Bloodborne & Elden Ring have a bunch of moments where I was just in awe.

The Last of Us Part I & Part II both have a couple unforgettable moments.

Hotline Miami 1+2 both have some stand outs.

The Witcher 3, it’s DLCs & Ghost of Tsushima all have some moments that are incredibly memorable as well.

I guess one of the most re-watched scene for me is the [speech Caius Ballad gives to Serah](https://youtu.be/6JL_78CzE6A?t=207) in Final Fantasy XIII-2 before killing her. Liam O’Brien has the perfect villain voice and Caius Ballad explaining to Serah what her trying to save her sister actually does in a long run to the world. And to this day I think her was the hero of the game, not Serah and Noel.

3 Moments i still remember as “Wooow”

    – Leaving the Vault in Fallout 3.
    – Picking up the Pumpgun in Doom 2016
    – The freedom and endless possibilities of the whole experience when playing Deus Ex for the first time

Duel with olferid von everec in witcher 3 , tge music the mood the buring manor in the background it just soo amazing and cool.

The same part shown in the photo is when I felt most badass ever in a video game. The whole section along with “American Venom” soundtrack blasting was just so awesome.

    – All the scenes from RDR and RDR 2.
    The characters John Marston and
Arthur Morgan had tons of personality, great voice acting and storyline.

    – Dead Space series, Isaac is just down on his luck everywhere he goes.

    – God of War scenes when Kratos talks to his son.

Too many to remember right now.

    Control.

If you’ve played it, you know. If you haven’t, that was awesome. Fourth wall moment. Absolutely perfect level. Hype.

This is actually an important turning point of the game for John. Where the timid John who is under the shadows of Arthur ends, and the John from RDR1 is born.
John gets confronted with the three standing over him and they ask him, ‘is it just you?’
And he answers ‘yeah, just me’.
Leaving Sadie and Charles also behind. He truly is alone..The music starts indicating that John is no longer the weak character we know of in RDR2 and has just became the one from RDR1. The music playing here is called American Venom and it is that classic bad ass song associated to John from RDR1.

    Skyrim, yeah the whole thing.
Witcher 3. The whole game is a masterpiece.
Worst moment: leveling up at lesser demons on kalimdor late at night. Ventured out into the wildy, from boredom and lost full rune. Received black eye from father in morning.

Outer Wilds, the moment you take “that thing” out and go back to your ship and the trip itself are pretty much unforgettable.

I know it’s strange addition but I actually really loved the battlefield 1 solo missions particularly “the runner” it had such amazing visuals, story, and music. I’ll never forget that ending scene. I feel like they really embodied the terror and pain of world War 1 in those stories. Even though they are short they have so much life showing the humanity and inhumanity of an age past

    I’ve got a few.

All of chapter 6 in Red Dead Redemption II. The Oil factory as well.

The Ginso Tree Escape from Ori & The Blind Forest.

The City of Tears in Hollow Knight.

    The final goodbye in Spiritfarer.

The “step-out” moment from Breath of the Wild.

The section in Divinity Original Sin II where you fight against all the other origin characters for the chance to become Divine.

The Capital City of Leyndell and the Elden Beast in Elden Ring.

    The Divine Dragon in Sekiro.

The Dancer of the Boreal Valley in Dark Souls 3. The end credits as well.

The Silent Cartographer from Halo CE.

The dual Scarab fight in Halo 3.

    The Asriel Fight in Undertale.

Goro Majima’s introduction in Yakuza 0.

Metro Exodus’s final level, preferably the bad ending.

Far Cry 5’s bliss sequence on the boat with the Marshal.

The last chapter of The Walking Dead.

    The final climb from Journey.

    The deepest parts of Subnautica.

Touching the Sky quest in Skyrim.

    That would be all.

  • Small_beginnings

Ugh, not this one. I appreciate the strong context, but at this point I was so done with this game, couldn’t care much about what’s going on, just wanted to finish and be done with it.

    Two epilogues, fuck me.

The early days of Splinter Cell: Chaos Thoery’s Spies vs Mercs pvp multiplayer when everyone was bad at it, learning the mechanics, learning the maps, it was soooooo much fun and nerve wracking in a way I haven’t experienced since. Someone, please rip off this mode.

Favourite scene? From Ori and the Blind Forest, the second cutscene with Kuro. Those few seconds magically tie the whole plot together; we know now why she hates Ori, why the light damaged Nibel so much and a plethora of other loose ends are tied too. Everything in the Ori games is so well done and ahead of its kind.

Favourite gameplay? Many fights from Hollow Knight come to mind but I think my favourite is the Eternity mode Mutant from Fargo’s Souls in Terraria. The satisfaction of learning each attack then finally getting the godlike attempt that carries you all the way to the end is the best. I do have a thing for choreographed fights.

  • Rubix22

Seeing the wasteland for the first time in Fallout 3 after exiting the bunker.

The perfect ending of Bioshock Infinite.

    Marrying multiple women in Skyrim.
