I put forward (by someone who has never played street fighter) that airports can have service roads, which could be classed as street??? Rightttt??????
If we’re being honest, you should be looking at stages for the original Street Fighter. I mean, Resident Evil hasn’t been set within a single residence since the ~~Spencer Mansion~~ Baker Ranch. There’s like zero mansions in RE2.
Well… I never saw it like that. To me it was always about the style of fighters of different kinds, in different places and not in an organization condition.
As hilarious as this is, I always took ‘Street’ to mean raw bare knuckle shit in a public space, throwing Hadokens and inflicting potential life-ending injuries on each other, before all retiring for the evening to a local dump of a bar and probably ending the night with a gangbang.
Street fighting is hand-to-hand combat in public places, between individuals or groups of people. The venue is usually a public place and the fight sometimes results in serious injury or occasionally even death. Some street fights can be gang-related. A typical situation might involve two men arguing in a bar, then one suggests stepping outside, where the fight commences. Wikipedia

Another reason Chun Li us the best
Psh. It’s “Street Fighter” not “Streets Fighter”.
I think it refers to the “anything goes” style of fighting
Thankfully, the new game is addressing this and will feature numerous streets on which you are encouraged to fight.
So is Place Fighter?
Imagine going to a bath house then you see 2 people fight to the death with a camera crew right next to them.
Ugh, I hate it when millennials and gen z don’t get old lingo.
Street = My dad
Fighter = not loving me
Every time I played this game my dad wouldn’t love me and that’s why they’re still making them.
No no no, see, it says “street fighter too” as in they also fight in a street.
Great example of street smarts vs book smarts
Street fighter just means fights out in the real world, no rules/structure. not that it’s located at actual streets
*Head explodes*
F**kin liars and scumbags.
Now imagine my horror when I found that most of the characters in Super Smash Bros aren’t brothers, and some of them are even female. SMH

They fixed this with the [Street Fighter 2 Board Game](https://i.imgur.com/h3LV4oi.jpg)
“Why don’t they call it planet trek? You never go to a star, not one episode.”
That reminds me, as far as I know those two dudes in the attract screen of SF2, and the area they’re in, never appear in the series.
Ye gods, how I lost myself in those graphics when I snuck into my brother’s room to play for 15 minutes before grade school.
Whose stage is the bar?
Wait, we’re supposed to fight ON a street? I was under the impression we were fighting THE street.
Well… I never saw it like that. To me it was always about the style of fighters of different kinds, in different places and not in an organization condition.
I think the fighters are from the street. But now they’re in a tournament
Ooh, I love Place Fighter
Did anyone else wonder how odd “street” is spelled? Street.. street.. it becomes more and more bizarre the further one thinks about it.
So shops are streets? /s
None of the characters are streets and you don’t fight an actual street. I want my hundreds of dollars I’ve poured into this game over the years back.
Boat street and plane street are streets
I’d also like to point out that you don’t actually fight the street either. There’s another person there who wants to fight you.
I guess to stop you from fighting the street.
This post is streets behind.

And not like, on an actual street.

You can’t really fight in the street, you would have to keep stopping and yell “Car!”.
Wait a minute. Ryu’s stage isn’t the deck of a ship? My god….
You’re missing levels… where’s chun li’s street market?
Nah, you’re just reading it wrong:
Street 1, Fighter 2
Ofc you can drop the explicit 1 and you get: Street Fighter 2.
so 2 streets right, it’s correct
We didn’t get to fight any streets.
See, [this is what June was getting at](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j72-Dsdv96k&ab_channel=chalkitdown) in the episode of How Did This Get Made (a comedic bad movie review podcast) about the Street Fighter movie.
