We’re doing shitty city art installations? Leading up to the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Goldcoast City Council had this installed on the highway to welcome you. Except you can only see it properly at night, from a position significantly far away from the highway.

I actually don’t know anyone who has been to the lookout spot either. I also don’t know anyone who considers Yatala part of the Gold Coast lol
This is one of those project where they realized the screw up in the drawing stage but some one made the executive call to just roll with it.
I have driven past them a few times and always thought they were strange. I never knew that was what they were for.
