This is pretty absurd for probably a number of reasons, but having had several pet boas, I can tell you if you willingly let your snake enter a wall it will be gone for hours, days, a week, or possibly forever. No herp enthusiast would ever do this.
Obviously a fake. There is absolutely no reason these rats would be coming out of a new well lit hole cut way above themselves – they would be going for known escape routes that they dug already that likely lead into darker and more secluded areas of the house/walls. For rodents escaping for their lives at a hole way above themselves they sure are pretty chill about exiting the hole too. In fact they seem chill about everything, especially since they’re nice and plump and well groomed and healthy – oddly domestic looking.
What is way more likely is that snake guy has live feeder rats and made a video setting this up with someone on the other side of the hole.

The beautiful part is that when wintertime rolls around the wall gorillas that thrived off snake meat will simply freeze to death.
