That’s not unpopular. I think if you had said the first, with THAT ended everyone hated, you would go against the general players. If you had said the third, that took us away from the sea, then people would disagree. But you went for the middle road, the one that everyone liked, the one the movie script was based on because it was the best one.
What happened to that movie? They had Wentworth Miller down to play the lead, then it just vanished.
I really loved them all, I’m surprised people didn’t like the third the twist at the end when I played it 10 years or so ago blew my mind at the time .
I think it’s a great game, but not the best in the series. I think it’s Infinite (imo). Infinite had a beautiful art style, incredible world building and a good (yet confusing) story, and the gameplay was really fun too.
In Bioshock 2, since you are a big daddy, (in my opinion) you feel overpowered compared to everything else in Rapture, whereas in the first game you are just an ordinary guy, which detracted from the experience to me since I could take anything down super easily. In B1 I felt overwhelmed and underpowered and that anything could defeat me no matter where I was, which really added to the oppressive atmosphere of Rapture.
The story and world building are still top notch though. I just didn’t like it as much as the first since it kindof felt like more of the same, and the last third of B1 was very repetitive, so jumping straight into B2 after finishing B1 was a bit of a mistake I think.
But eh, these are just my thoughts. All of the games are good.
Minerva’s Den is also incredibly underrated.
I think bioshock 2 is the only 1 I need to finish.
Best gameplay for sure
Actually not that unpopular in the BioShock fandom

Minerva’s Den is the best Bioshock content period
Bioshock 2 is my favorite game of the series. I enjoyed the others but being a big daddy in post collapse rapture was just *chefs kiss*
Bioshock one will always remain my favorite but the second was absolutely amazing
Not unpopular , great game . Possibly best.
Yes
To me it has the most emotionally impactful story.
Get outta here
I am waaaayyyy to emotionally connected with Delta, so not a unpopular opinion in my book 😭😭
