This scene from Wayne’s World 2 (1993) was making fun of the fact that hard partying Keith Richards was improbably still alive and touring with the Rolling Stones. Their most recent show was in August 2022 and Keith Richards is 78.

Here is Keith being asked what he thought about being the #1 person in a list of people expected to die soon in an underground music magazine **in 1973**: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nv8CrCbSlks
One day when I was at work, one of my co-workers came in raving about the Rolling Stones show he went to the night before. “I can’t believe Mick is *still* jumping all over the stage, at his age!”
This was in 1979.
The Stones have toured in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, and 20s. Seven different decades.
I saw the Stones in 2007 because I thought it might be their last tour…
I had to beat them to death with their own shoes.
My first concert was The Rolling Stones. Based on that info, I could be anywhere between 7 months and 70 years old.
And he doesn’t look a day older than 96.
I feel like this is just setting him up to die next. First it was Betty White, then the Queen of England, and then he’ll be the next person we thought would never die to die.
Those hook boots that allow you to hang upside down from a pull-up bar are in a lot of 90s movies but did anyone actually have these in real life? If you have them can I come over and try them?
I read back in the 80’s that they get regular blood transfusions and other therapies in Switzerland.
That character has to be a homage to the drug dealer in Withnail and I: https://youtu.be/zjt36D2k55g?t=462
Or is it just a general character archetype that I’m unaware of :)?
