This is me in the backyard of our house in Lovelock NV, in 1950 or 1951. I was 1 or 2, in an old fashioned stroller. My family left there when I was 5 and I don’t remember much, although there are a few photos, and there are no dates on them. I am 73YO now and won’t be around too longer.

I just scanned 3 boxes of old slide films I’ve had for decades. I had such a good time seeing these slides as digital photographs on my computer. My daughter enjoyed seeing them too.

There is this Gas Station Casino called the Big Wheel in Lovelock, NV. I was gold mining in Rye Patch NV and would go there to play the slots and eat at this one place called the cowpoke. It was weird because being Mexican I felt so out of place in LoveLock. Once i went to the grocery store and all the white ppl were staring me down it was weird. I ran a red light in Lovelock there is only one street light. The bars were cool the white girls had a thing for me. Overall i would say i would travel there in the future because i had alot of fun.

I’m 73 as well. It’s nice to see that there are older people on Reddit. With all I see these days, I’m hoping not to be around much longer, and my brother, who is a year older, is of like mind.
