First concert I ever went to
I went to see them back in 1996 in Chicago at the Riviera. They had Jerry Springer on stage, then he was eaten by some creature while they played on…
Edit – [Found the clip!](https://youtu.be/sA1QaHlbTD0)
The first time I saw GWAR was in Viva La Bam.
I think the lead vocalist got in bed with Bam’s parent while crying because he got scared. Phil was trying to talk to him to not be scared why April was tired of Bam’s shit.

Fucking love GWAR!!!!
Saw them in 1987 in a corn field in Kansas (the outhouses for those interested). I had only heard about the shows and had seen still pictures. What an amazing show they put on.
Glad I was able to finally see them in 2010. One of the loudest shows I’ve been to and I recall standing just out of line of where the fluids were going to be.
Is Redstate Ryan going to be in this?
This is gonna be awesome. GWAR’s been a band a ton of history, I’m interested to see how this pans out.
I saw them live in 2015, Oderus’ death was still pretty fresh. I think there were still a lot of questions on if Gwar could continue on without him and to their credit, they were amazing. Been wanting to go to another one of their shows, but they always come to Dallas at the worst times for me.
“Aw man, Marc, you play a mean guitar, man – it’s really a shame that you must DIE!!!”
Hail Oderus!
I saw hear twice and both times were some of the best shows ever. You left so wet, sticky, sore, and exhilarated that you won’t forget it. The only show that ever topped it for me was The Flaming Lips 2011 New Years Eve show.
I love that Alex Winters is in this, his documentary about Zappa was amazing.
I always wanted to go see em but when they’re in milwaukee it’s always a weekday 🙁
The Cuttlefish of Cthulhu commands you
Sounds of The Underground 2007. I will never forget their awesome performance.
