Of course, possibly to 14. Like previous generations have done so well voting in elections?
I think it’s a good idea. There’s no reason for why a child 14+ can’t vote that shouldn’t apply for why any adult shouldn’t vote.
The downvotes with no replies in this post are interesting. I may have inadvertently found the political side of reddit.
I just watched this episode for the first time on HBO Max today (Season 6 Ep 17). I’ve never heard these arguments for a lower or abolished voting age in the US, but I thought the scenes were well done.
It reminded me of the B-story from an earlier season where the cartographer’s union was stumping to replace current maps with those that put the South Pole on the top of the map. Just a new way of looking at the world.
adults already don’t know their asses from a hole in the ground. john f kennedy jr’s gonna rise from the dead and yadda yadda. 18+ can vote, yet they don’t, so it’d accomplish nothing
If anything, we should be making it tougher to vote.
