I can’t read shapes! If only there was a controller for me.
I feel like what happened here is someone sent to the cheapo manufacturer what should be on each button, and they didn’t understand circle meant put a circle on the button. They just followed instructions.
When I see the X button as “cross” it makes me cringe.

I actually think this is because of licensing issues, you’ll notice a lot of the cheaper 3rd party controllers won’t have the button glyphs at all because Sony requires any 3rd party controller to license the proper symbols.
