I did see METROPOLIS (also a silent film) way back when. This was by Fritz Lang.
I haven’t seen Tarkovsky’s movies (in particular, SOLARIS). So I hear that is great.
This isn’t fantastic planet…
I saw it! Worth watching if you’ve already seen other silent classics like Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Cabiria, The Thief of Bagdad, etc.
There is a bit of revolutionary propaganda in it, but that’s to be expected I suppose.
