So the camera understandably has trouble focusing on a pretty much solid black nightsky. While the camera is slightly out of focus something that is basically a point light source gets captured as a “disk” that has the broadly the shape of the aperture. Including any dust or so that happens to be near the aperture. So you are basically looking at a projection of the internals of your lens.
