Love the references in this. All those old Fat comps probably changed my life too. Same thing from playing THPS and being like “hmmm I like this music I’m gonna go find more”, then reading the liner notes of those bands to find other similar ones. The single most influential music purchase of my life was maybe when I came home with So Long and Thanks For All the Shoes and The Decline by NOFX.
I think Blink 182 had given them a shout out in their album notes and since I had that album from being super popular on TV at the time, it opened the gateway to NOFX and all the Fat comps.
