This is an interesting perspective. If I had to put myself in that grid I would say I am uptight, neurotic, and carefree. Is it possible to be both uptight & carefree? Well I am.
I’d suggest conformist <-> eccentric rather than uptight <-> carefree. I’m not sure anyone other than Kramer is actually carefree. But the conformist (normal jobs, established relationships of Elaine/George) eccentric (weird job for Jerry, contentedly unemployed for Kramer, never a real relationship for either of them).
At bare minimum I would flip the Y-axis so that stable was on top. I think most people would agree that carefree and stable is the “best” combination and so it should be in the upper right quadrant.
(Yes, I know not all graphs are qualitative, but this one seems to be.)
I agree that Jerry does a better job at corralling his neurotic tendencies than (say) George but he’s still a famously neurotic character (I’d even say it’s one of the things he’s best known for) so having a neurotic axis with him at the opposite end seems wrong to me (imho).
I kinda feel like you could have scatterbrained<–>neurotic and social<–>antisocial with Jerry neurotic/social, george neurotic/antisocial, kramer scatterbrained/social, and elaine scatterbrained/anti-social. It probably fits elaine the least but i think it still works. (And Anti/social might not be the best words for it either but that’s the best i can come up with)
I lived overseas the entire time Seinfeld was on and didn’t see an episode. Thank God. It seems to have permeated and contaminated American culture, or what was left of it.
r/Seinfeld
Looks like I’m Kramer.
Neurotic: often or always fearful or worried about something : tending to worry in a way that is not healthy or reasonable
How can you be neurotic and carefree?
And just north of the center…..*NEWman*
I think I might be George’s dad
George is getting upset…
This is a weird political compass
Jerry, carefree? Really? The dudes far from carefree..
shouldnt they all be in the top left quadrant
Jerry and Elaine have so many hangups. How could they be considered stable?
Another one for Kramer
How can someone be described as both carefree and neurotic?
None of them are stable. Let’s not forget the series ended with all of them being jailed for being terrible human beings.
Jerry once broke up with a woman because she got toilet water on her.
He’s neither stable nor carefree.

Carefree and stable quadrant should be empty.
George is getting upset. George is getting angry!

All of them
Thank you for coming to my Fred Talk.
How does neurotic differ from uptight? They seem to go hand in hand. If you’re one, you’re also the other, most likely.
kramer a carefree racist if u ask me
They’re all neurotic
This is fantastic
Anyone else annoyed it’s a mix of first and last names? Who does that make me?
I think neurotic should be on top, with stable in the middle and psychotic on the bottom. With Kramer more the psychotic, not neurotic.
Elaine is not uptight though
Honestly the more you watch Seinfeld you realize they are all horrible people.
All of the characters are neurotic except kramer

you can’t be carefree AND neurotic. a better vector name would be simply the opposite of stable – UNSTABLE.
I thought neurotic meant uptight
Jerry is the most neurotic and uptight character in the whole series! Who created this abomination?
I used to be a Kramer but now I’m an Elaine.
The top part of that E in Elaine fell off.
Have you seen the episode with Elaine’s inner dialogue when she rides on the subway? She’s bat shit crazy. And I can 100% relate.

In any case this is a fun idea op

Not sure if Kramer or Costanza. But I am bald as f.
This is gold!!!
Now do Golden Girls and Ninja Turtles.

I want to be like Jerry, but I’m just a non-bald skinny George 🙁
This would be better if the four arrows diverted and started going in random directions.
