Reminds me of the opposite effect Cuphead had on reviewers. People so used to hand holding tutorials get pissed when they have to figure it out for themselves but that’s how every game was back in the day. And you were probably renting the game so you *had* to figure it out.

Just started playing We Need to Go Deeper and it baffles me that it has messages popping up constantly. It will say at the bottom of the screen “Press Q to look outside” while you’re looking outside. Yeah, I fucking know.

All I can think of is ghost of Tsushima. Fantastic game, but fuck you I don’t want to switch stances on each enemy. The default stance is fine if you parry and dodge. But no, not only does it remind you, it forces you to change. That was just a terrible choice.
