On this day in 1988, Bruce Springsteen played in front of well over 160,000 people in East Berlin. It was the GDR’s and The Boss’s biggest concert. As a working class hero, he was acceptable to the authorities, and it was hoped that the concert would please young people.

Working class….
He’s out of touch nowadays. The money and fame went to his head.
This song did a lot for Veteran’s causes.
The Boss is known for putting on a great show. Born in the USA, however, is NOT a pro-American anthem. It is highly critical of America and how blue collar citizens are treated.
What a crappy song. Didnt age well. And they’re singing it in….Germany? Wow.
I saw him in both Dallas and Houston and he exhausted the crowd.
I mean he just kept going he just kept going and going and going and he was like a furnace of ambition that would not stop singing and performing and it was pretty amazing enjoyed it quite a bit
I remember this. I was just over the wall.
