“Trying to sell Russian food” It’s just as good as any seafood I’ve tried
I have absolutely no doubt that food sold and would have still sold even with a product of Russia sticker on the packaging. There are people who care but there is almost always someone behind that pers on who will take it.
Why does it matter food is food and the fisherman that caught and sold that food didn’t do anything wrong just the government did
KEEP REFRIGERATED label, but not in the refrigerator case. Looks like they’re not trying very hard.
Well that’s because w/e company from Russia they bought it from, they already have the money from Costco, and probably had it well before the sanctions. You not buying it, or Costco not selling that batch doesn’t impact the already sent money, it’s just impacting Costco at this point since it’s just money lost. I would buy it honestly, cause it’s not supporting Russia at that point, it’s supporting Costco that has a few items that got screwed over thanks to Russia’s actions. So in a sense, it hurts Costco’s balance sheet which ultimately can harm the employees.
I’m certain Costco isn’t buying anything else from Russia. They’re just trying to get rid of inventory they already have. Easier to pull Vodka and not worry about lost money since vodka can last for years. Raw seafood though? That’s just a few days or weeks. I assure you, the companies pulling Russian vodka will put them back on the shelves immediately once sanctions are removed to make back the money spent.
