My wife never saw season 1 of True Detective, and we just wrapped it up last week. It holds up so damn well.
Also, this line cracked me up back when this episode first aired, because I could have sworn Woody included it as an in-joke/reference to a line he said in Kingpin many years earlier. It looks like someone on Youtube made a 20-second video with both of them included:
