When my cat died at only 3 years old (wet FIP) one of my daycare kids made me a card. Full picture of a cat funeral, gravestones, us dressed in black, waterworks coming out of everyone. I just had to laugh every time I looked at it, she did a great job of cheering me up with its morbidness. I love how kids look at things even when it feels like the wrong thing to say from an adult perspective.
If someone gave me such a shitty card when my dog passed I would be pissed, especially one that suggests I could just get a new dog. A dog is an fn family member dipshit, you don’t just run out and replace it like a frign tv that stopped working
That’s cute. But, I know she’s a kid and doesn’t know better. I don’t think it’s a good idea to say (You can get a new dog) She’s probably not old enough to know that that’s not very comforting. As you can’t just replace a beloved pet so quickly and easily.

My niece is in kindergarten and she made this sympathy card. I was a little horrified when I opened it up. She ended up making a new one.
That’s so cute.
Nice.
You taught her to spell didn’t you

When my dad’s little sis died at 4 months old somewhere in the 50s, he asked his parents they could finally buy a dog now.

How Niece!
Did your neffew send anything?
Honestly if I was devastated at my dogs passing this would give me the laugh I needed! Love it.
Niece?
Why is a dog looking like he is getting strangled
My boyfriends mom showed me a card he made her in elementary school that said “sorry your dog died even though I didn’t like him” 😂😂😂
Our teachers are failing……

My cousin said that to his mom when his dad died. He was like 14. He’s very autistic.
