I remember doing army training there for NTC at Ft. Irwin, before deploying to Iraq. I remember wearing my night vision goggles one night in the middle of the desert and I could see Las Vegas shining its light so bright it was reflecting in the distant skies. I can still remember that as clear as day. I also remember seeing shooting stars but it would abruptly change its directions. With the NVG, you can see the Milky Way at night. That was already 14 years ago…..
