Wow, she looks great for 100!
In seriousness, beautiful memories. A piece of her lives on in you.
The only victim of Y2K.
Where abouts?
Every time I hear of someone reaching 100 today I keep thinking they are from your grandma’s period, but then I realize a 100 year old today was born in 1923.
Delivering milk to a customer, I assume. Based on the milk jugs and the man who’s pouring a measure of liquid into a container.
I had a relative whose job was using a horse and wagon to deliver straw to a box-making company. One day the horse brought the wagon back to the box company without my relative. They found him dead of a heart attack beside the road.
I was chatting with my grandmother back in the late 90’s when she started giggling, which was odd. It turns out she remembered the time her brother had driven the cutter into the ditch on the way to town one morning, probably about the same time as this picture was taken. Kind of mind blowing.
This sentence hurt my brain for a few minutes. Now I get it, picture isn’t from 1999, that was the year of her death.
