My Grandfather, 23 years old. He would lose his life 3 years later (1942) when the airplane he was piloting was shot down off the Philippine coast. I know he is with me.

There are some wonderful memorials to the American soldiers lost in WWII in Manila, if you ever make it there. My grandpa was heavily on my mind when I went.

Very cool picture, my father was also stationed in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was part of the crew on a B-24 bomber.
