Yes, he is still with you, with the same smile and all.
I never met my Mom’s dad, he died when she was 2, but when I look at his pictures they’re haunting to me. What was he like? What would have he become?
There are some wonderful memorials to the American soldiers lost in WWII in Manila, if you ever make it there. My grandpa was heavily on my mind when I went.
People die…they’re dead. There’s no mysterious afterlife. Sorry.
This is 100% a karma bot and absolutely not OPs grandfather
Edit: Since OP replied and I don’t see a reverse image come up, looks like not a bot just a username that looks like one. Sorry OP
Very cool picture, my father was also stationed in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was part of the crew on a B-24 bomber.
I’m sorry
Way too young. Looks like he would have had a pleasant chat with anyone that met him.
Rest in Peace brave warrior.
Love that smile. And he looks directly into the camera, like he is ready for adventures. Makes me sad. I bet he was a good friend and you could rely on him.
Respect.
Those folks in the Philippines had it real rough.
So grateful for his sacrifice.
he looks like such a nice guy. RIP. So young.
He is with you doing what?
