You know what bugs me about the “big car=small penis” thing is that no one ever goes the other way with like, “Hey, check out the dude in that Mazda 323, he must be hung!’
And the Dakota was a mid-size truck, marketed as larger than the Ford Ranger and Chevy S-10, which in turn were larger than the Courier and Luv. Both of which I miss.
I have a later generation of the Dodge Dakota. As a friend puts it, “It’s the right size truck.”
The bed is just as long, and it will haul more than most people would ever need. And it’s genuinely fun to drive. I’m not a fan of the classic Dodge build quality, but outside of that I’m much happier with this than if I’d bought a larger truck.
Do you seriously need a truck that big for something or is it just a political statement that you don’t give a shit about road safety, pedestrians, children who are more likely to be killed being in the blind spots, or the enviroment?
Such dumb wheels. I have what many might call a big f150 but I tow a big camper we got when covid hit. This dude doesn’t need such a big lift to pull his tiny balls.
This is why I’ll say big trucks raised off the ground are bought for someone’s ego, not for practicality. Because a truck that high off the ground isn’t practical. If they were using it to haul supplies, you’d want the bed to be lower to the ground to aid in loading and unloading. Realistically, it’s gonna be hard using the bed or getting into the engine bay.
As a European I can’t even believe that these are real. Like why would you need that huge of a car. Luckily these will have take off in Europe because I saw one guy no being able to drive and park in city centre. Because the car was just too big.

That is just stupid big.
Small trucks ruled.
Those Dakota’s were nice trucks. Some came with a 318 V8 and rode pretty good. I liked them.
I just ordered a Ford Maverick because I want a truck, but a reasonable sized one
People love to post these size comparisons and never mention the truck has a 6” lift and oversized tires that make it more dramatic
That F250 is a pavement princess. Lifted only for looks. With those tires, it’ll get stuck in anything worse than wet grass.
And the Dakota was a mid-size truck, marketed as larger than the Ford Ranger and Chevy S-10, which in turn were larger than the Courier and Luv. Both of which I miss.
Damn you, President Johnson! Damn you for killing the small truck!
12 yards long and 2 lanes wide…
i miss small trucks
This goes in r/fuckcars.

Big trucks are embarrassing
I’m so glad you put this caption, just from the picture, I would have thought this was your grandparents going to the beach
Hate hate hate the deep dish wheels and rubber band tires. It looks so dumb.
Man, I really want a small city flatbed you see in Asia to move shit with but no one really sells them here.
Do you seriously need a truck that big for something or is it just a political statement that you don’t give a shit about road safety, pedestrians, children who are more likely to be killed being in the blind spots, or the enviroment?
Goddammit, we’re facing a world wide climate crisis, and American auto makers are trying to out do Tonka.
It’s a fucking disgrace

This is so depressing
big trucks just look ugly and cumbersome. ugh.
I really loved small trucks like this
I had a 1993 Dakota as a work truck. Loved it. All the truck 99% of people will ever need.
How much do we want to bet that the 250 owner has the headlights that will blind you on the highway
As a European I can’t even believe that these are real. Like why would you need that huge of a car. Luckily these will have take off in Europe because I saw one guy no being able to drive and park in city centre. Because the car was just too big.
This is beyond ridiculous. I like your Dodge way better, plus I’m sure it’s even used more for hauling and shit than that other piece of crap.
Pavement princes vs practicality
The dodge looks nice … the Ford looks like an abomination, something right out of some distopian endtimes movie.
They probably both have the same truck bed…it’s just one is a soccer mom minivan in disguise.
God I fucking hate those big chrome wheels on pickup trucks…
I thought reddit was against fat shaming?
one is a truck, the other is a rolling living room
Small dicks want big trucks (that can not even hold a sheet of drywall)
