This reminds me of Michael Tolkin’s film **The Rapture** –but informed by the true story from a few years ago where supposed alien monoliths suddenly appeared in various locations (Utah, California, and Romania) without explanation of how they got there or who created them. (This was later revealed to be the work of a savvy Artist.)
The movie looks moody and well made. But I’m not yet intrigued, just because the possible outcomes and psychological permutations seem so limited/obvious.
This looks good, but I worry that it also looks like it’s going to leave me at the end like “well, aliens or not?”
