The photographer was George Barris, he was an old friend. He also interviewed her:
“The happiest time of my life is now. As far as I’m concerned, there’s a future and I can’t wait to get to it — it should be interesting! I feel I’m just getting started; I want to do comedy, tragedy, interspersed… I’d like to be a fine actress.”
She just looks like a regular girl but the world practically revolved around her for a brief moment. Crazy.
Breakes my heart, I can see the sadness in her eyes.

God Rest Her Soul
I’m sure she was decent for the 50s and 60s but I wasn’t alive then so I can only see her with modern eyes. She’s super mid.
Making absolutely any outfit look good
God rest her soul and burn Kennedy Bros.
I can see why they picked Ana de Armas to play her.
Not long before she committed Epstein… er I mean suicide.
It’s mind-boggling how one woman’s life can have so much glamor and prestige, and yet so much heartache and tragedy at the same time.
If there really is such a thing as heaven, I’d love to encounter her in a giant ballroom somewhere, and ask her for a dance.
Didn’t Starsky have that same cardigan some years later? I had the Starsky & Hutch Ford Gran Torino Dinky car. I’d love to see that again.
Edit; Jesus wept- just looked on eBay, they’re about £200!!
She looks Stunning and sad….
We all went to school with a better Monroe
