All around legend. Never wished harm on anyone and supported everyone. They don’t make celebrities like lemmy anymore
Rip 🪦 Lemmy
Upvote cause Lemmy, although honestly I’ve seen better videos for him
The only way to feel the noise is when it’s good and loud
That’s the Decline of Western Civilization, Part II the Metal Years. Great documentary and the punk one is awesome as well.
🤘🏼
Wisest of the wise
his level of cool is unattainable
Lemmy is the coolest of all time.
Is that LA in the background?
Every time I hear him speak, I like him more
It’s even more impressive considering the era he grew up in
Lemmy didnt have an evil bone in him. RIP Lemmy, what a legend.
🤘
This is THE heavy metal documentary, not “a” heavy metal documentary.
“Good things are coming!”
It must’ve taken a LOT to piss him off. Just oozed RnR coolness.
Who would win a fight? God or Lemmyy? HA trick question, LEMMY IS GOD
Lemmy was one of the real ones. m/
Decline of Western Civilization, part II; The Metal Years.
Saw this in the theaters.
Couldn’t get a copy on VHS back in the day, because of all the participants quibbling about how much they should get paid, had to wait till just a few years ago for it to get released on DVD.
It will never cease to amaze me how conservatives line up to play the music of people who are so clearly progressive at their events and then have the audacity to cry cancel culture when they get cease and desist orders
“Send it up the flagpole and see if someone salutes it”. Anybody know who would win in a fight, Lemmy or God?
u/savevideo
Who would win in a fight, Lemmy or God?
Who’d win in a wrestling match, Lemmy or God?
‘Run it up the flagpole and see who salutes it’
Love it.
The world isn’t that good since Lemmy isn’t here
Lemmy spitting truth as usual! RIP!
He was 33 yrs old in this video.
And now he’s no more with us.
RIP
Awareness of both Lemmy & 90 Day Fiancé is probably a weird crossover but the interviewer sounds just like Jenny of Jenny & Sumit.
Ah I had this on vhs and saw it in the local art theater on the big screen when it came out.
Forever, the fuckin’ man.
First ever gig was Motorhead at the Glasgow Barrowlands in 1998. My hearing was never the same again. Lemmy was one of a kind
He should have worn his daisy dukes for the interview.
“Run it up the flag pole and see who solutes it.” Fucking a that is a great way to put it.
The best part about this interview is that is smack dab in the middle of a bunch of hair metal bands proudly showing off their lavish crap, while Lemmy is just Lemmy, no bullshit.
Lemmy was a treasure. Just down to earth and relatable. You don’t even have to like Motorhead to like Lemmy. A part of rock died with him.
Ian Fraser “Lemmy a Fiver ‘til Tuesday” Kilmister. Died of pure awesomeness. The human body can only sustain so much awesome for a finite amount of time. But he lives on as a god.
Best documentary ever, decline of western civilization, part two
I met Lemmy once. Genuinely nice, sweet, and thoughtful. Plus he is literally the definition of Metal.
Lemmy was the coolest down to earth guy ever existed. I met him several times after Motörhead concerts in bars in the area playing pool and drinking beer. And no, I’m no celebrity and those weren’t special bars. There were just regular heavy metal / rock n roll drink beer bars for the regular folks.
A legend. I cried when he died (seriously it hit me a like a fkn truck and I usually don’t give a sh^t about other human beings).
I got to interview Lemmy during the Orgasmatron tour.
I arrived at the venue at 11am. Got an amazing interview with the Cro-Mags, and were told Lemmy would be by any minute. In the meantime have some beers so I had some for eight hours. Watched the show from stage right. It was glorious and loud as fuck of course. Lemmy walked off stage at about 11pm and came right over to me. We sat on a small ledge on the exit path of the venue. He spent an HOUR with me. Started by apologizing for making me wait. By this time i was beyond loaded. He was patient, an active listener, total gentleman and answered every question. No rock star attitude. I had heard all these things about him but to experience it as a dumb ass, drunk college radio DJ while being given the respect of a Rolling Stone journalist was mind blowing. We even talked about women in metal and he truly did not understand the attitude toward female musicians. Shook my hand at the end and thanked me for the interview!
I handed off the tape to my Program Director Monday morning. I couldnt wait to start editing the interview. My program manager hit me with the news that she threw the tape away! She said it was such a drunken interview on my part that we would been kicked off the radio staff had one of our professors heard it. Terrible drunk interview and Lemmy still gave me that much of his limited time and attention.
Side bar-I spent an hour, one on one, with my hero and have nothing to show for it.
RIP Lemmy
God I miss him…
Thr fuckin legend himself. Lemmy was one of a kind.
