This piece is called Seasons Change and it’s made from layers of laser cut, stained plywood. I used 11 different shades of woodstain to achieve the colour gradient which was inspired by Japanese printmaking (Hiroshige in particular). The design was originally drawn in pencil, then redrawn in illustrator where I separated out the layers for cutting on a Trotec laser. This photo had to be taken at 0.6 zoom due to the pieces size so the quality isn’t as good as good as I’d like!
Damn, that is awesome looking!
Amazing work OP
I thought I saw two wolves getting it on in the back there. (Also: really nice art!)
Wow, this is UNBELIEVABLY cool!
Do you sell these pieces by chance?
Computer guided laser cut or handheld laser cut? Probably a stupid question.
Very nice!
Holy cow that’s awesome!
Pretty sweet. Are all the layers the same thickness?
It’s fantastic!!
WOW! I love this, fantastic job!
I bought this from you!
Really cool, but what is the story behind the Mariokart in the tree? Seriously mean zero disrespect, just wondering what is happening down there!
And the address to your shop is?
Do you sell these?
Beautiful work
Where can we see your gallery?
This is awsome but, um, how’d ya take the picture if both hands were used to hold the art?
