Can they all take ~2 years to make a not totally trash game and forget the “cinematics”. I’m sick of skipping games I’d love to play because they are just clones of interactive movies with the same AI from WAW. I watch movies for the prettiness I play games for gameplay.
CoD is really good, but they’ve over saturated it to the point that people think it’s mediocre now. Kinda funny. It is a reskin every year but that’s because the formula has been perfected since 4. No need to fix what isn’t broken. The truth is that CoD can be frustrating but it’s an intense, competitive game that all skill levels can easily enjoy. There’s a reason its such a money maker. It’s because it’s fast paced action, it’s one of the few games that I focus on as much as Quake, despite it being so accessible.
They should make a free to play CoD multiplayer with all the best maps from across the years and then release campaign/weapon/map packs every 2 or 3 years. The campaign would be paid, but the weapons and maps would be free. Sort of like CoD mobile, but it’s made for PC and consoles primarily. A mobile version isn’t such a bad thing either though.
They’d make more money off idiots buying skins than they ever did making these massive budget campaigns every year.
The last CoD I played through was Black Ops 3. I really didn’t like where they took that series. I just never bothered with Call of Duty again. Never cared about the multiplayer anyway.
This could also be because Microsoft bought ActivisionBlizzard, which should be worked out over the course of this year, and may be working on restructuring or focusing more on Microsoft platform.

Call of Dufy
Call of Dufy already falling behind the trending schedule

Better late than never I suppose …
Legit haven’t paid attention to COD since MW3 🤷♂️
I still replay the modern warfare campaign twice a year since it’s launch. Hope this delay gives the other studios more time to write better stories.
Activision is just waiting until they have enough WW3 material for a new game
i never liked Call of Dufy anyway.
They don’t need to make a new one. Russia gonna give us the real life experience
Even with the extra year it’ll be the same regurgitated game
I’ll remain skeptical until we hear it direct from Activision. They like money too much.

Call of Dufy: Modern Paintfare
They are getting the other studios back in shape with that extra year.
Stopping being annual is probably the best thing that could happen to Call of Duty in years.
They are waiting for Ukraine results
The last CoD I played through was Black Ops 3. I really didn’t like where they took that series. I just never bothered with Call of Duty again. Never cared about the multiplayer anyway.
I’m gonna be honest, the only reason I liked the the early activision cod games was the MP customization
But Call of Dufy!
What’s Call Of Dufy. Sounds lit.
Call of Doofus!
What the hell is call of dufy?
“With next year being a year off”
That’s wild

Oh no. They’re not going to release the same game again for yet another year in a row?
Call of Dufy? Must be a comedy-themed spinoff.
Waiting to copy Russia invading the Ukraine
I can’t enjoy any new cod game anymore like battlefield
what is?
OMG are they finally developing a brain?
Thanks Phil.
Phil has spoken
With Microsoft in control things might work out
They’re going to mo-cap the Ukrainian invasion.
I give MW2 6 months before it’s cringe soaked skin fest. MW looks completely fucking stupid and I can’t stand it.
Too many games are just geared towards 13 year olds with their parents credit card.
Call of dufy modern goofy
It’s so they can get the WW3 content.
