What I don’t understand.
Plastic jugs are recyclable, plastic bags are not. How is this better?
never seen the twist method or supporting jug. where I’m from you cut one pouring hole and if you’re clever a second hole on the opposite corner to stop suction when pouring. think shot gunning a beer. bag of milk is usually used in a day or two with a standard family. they come in set of 3 so you hit the grocery store twice a week for that and eggs, bread, butter eh.
Why is is so much cheaper than milk in the jug?
[This is the post](https://reddit.com/r/funny/comments/100naoe/so_apparently_i_need_to_explain_to_the_inlaws_how/) that inspired this video. Lots of discussion there on pros vs. cons, recycling, etc.
Thank you for posting! I’ve been wondering about how that worked.
[Here’s how milk works, in general](https://youtu.be/UcN7SGGoCNI)
Where is this?
This is definitely not my experience with bagged milk here in Ontario. You don’t buy them in individual bags like this. You buy a 4L bag of milk, that is divided into 3 smaller bags inside, 1.33L each. They’re just on shelves in the fridge, not in crates
I’ve also never seen a jug with a spot to twist the cut end shut and clip it into. We just cut the corner off and leave it like that…..
This is just milk with extra steps!
When I was a kid we also had bagged milk, but our jug did not have the slot for “twist and tuck”. I thank the product designers that we did NOT, since I wouldn’t have wanted my sister’s grubby fingers all over the end where I was about to pour milk from. 🙂
So the whole family is putting their hands at the spout to close it everyday.
Great idea, saves money and more eco friendly…but this looks like it would taste like fridge.
Edit: I realize I probably need to drink my milk faster
We solely use bagged milk in India, never had to use a jug/holder to pour, just and down that sucker into the container. We also have 250ml, 500ml bags, so you don’t have to store it unless of course you have to, then we use a Tupperware type container
>less plastic waste
I wonder if you could use other materials to store milk. /s
Just looking at the prices I know it’s not Canada.
Wish we had this in the UK, that looks great
Why oh why is this not a valid option in every country?? Especially for families that go through several liters a week. I’d buy it if it were an option here, it would really decrease my plastic waste output.
