This isn’t funny. Public transport reduces pollution.
How is it funny to urge people to pollute less??!
How’s the public transport in Delhi?
It’s a good initiative to reduce pollution and if more people use public transport there’s a good chance it’s quality will improve further
It’s better for the environment if people used public transport instead of driving a vehicle. Best way to get that message out to the people driving over using public transport is… DING DING DING on the driving license.
This single move is better than anything we have in the states
Fun fact:
In the US it’s actually the opposite. When you sign your papers for the drivers license you agree to the terms and conditions – you basically have to go go with your car everywhere. Public transport is only allowed for the unfortunate souls that cannot drive or cannot afford a car. Walking is technically still allowed but also discouraged from.
/s
If you’ve seen Indian traffic…
Not discouraging, it helps with pollution. I think Delhi is most polluted state/city in India. Also Delhi metro is pretty neat.
Delhi is polluted af bro
What’s so funny about this? I think it’s pretty good.
Pretty smart, have you seen the roads in Delhi?
well….. I have seen indian bus drivers. You really want to be inside their bus because otherwise you have to share a road with them. It might seem like suicide at first, but they really know their bus.
Nobody drives in Delhi, there’s too much traffic.
Are you aware of pollution?
*hijacks bus* It’s ok everyone, I have a license!
Busses are crowded. Stay home, no need to go anywhere.
Americans trying to comprehend the benefits of public transport challenge! (Difficult)
Why is this funny?
Disclaimer: I am all for supporting public transport and use it extensively myself. Plus Delhi has an amazing public transport infrastructure. The wording is what made it funny ‘Drive only if you must’, considering the condition of Indian traffic and drivers and also the fact that I’d myself failed my test multiple times before finally getting this.
Why is this in r/funny
That should really be a semicolon.
I once went to Delhi and saw a billboard sign:
“Drinking Whisky, driving risky!”
How tf is this funny?
It says only drive when you absolutely have to in my driver’s handbook also, otherwise walk, bike or take public transit (Canada).
Is that license just a piece of paper?
Looks like a sandwich card from subway lol
Indian here, Driving on Indian roads is more or less the equivalent to driving in the world of Mad Max
Uh why is that whenever India is mentioned, people in comment section starts shitting on India and Indians. Can someone explain?
I thought this was in r/fuckcars
