Finally! So I guess the ball won’t be held for ransom lol
Now shut up and stop cutting to him batting during whatever sport I’m actually trying to watch lol
What happens if a fan would have dove to catch it?
Thank god! They kept walking him, and it felt like he’d never get there. The man’s a genius, so happy for him. Let’s hope he gets the triple crown too!
If we thought Bonds was legit, this wouldn’t matter at all. The fact that it does says it all.
Let him start juicing and smash Bonds’ record
And in fewer games so ties the record but in first place above Maris in my opinion. Good for him.
Honestly have not been watching/following baseball in years. Is the dude running clean? His appearance says he well could be and this is an honest question since that is an amazing accomplishment. I don’t mean this question to take away from his #61 at all, just unsure if rumors about the guy have been going around for awhile.
This would be impressive if he wasn’t on steroids
Is “In American League History” just code for “Without blatant use of steroids,” at this point?
AL records = non steroid records (probably). All the NL and MLB HR records are by known or strongly suspected steroid abusers, Bonds, Sosa, and McGuire.
Did it in 150 games too vs Ruth’s 154.
Holy shit I saw this live while at the gym, didn’t know it was that big of a deal. Pretty cool..
Edit: “live”
*MLB record.
Cheaters don’t count.
Oh look, some team/pitcher found their balls and actually pitched to him.
It’s gonna be so awesome when he gets busted for PEDs
Good, congrats to him. So does this mean that now they’ll stop showing him at bat in the middle of my football games now?
How is he allowed to wear 99.
……is he on PEDs?
About time! (; Congrats #99
What the FUCK was Schneider thinking brining in lefty Mayza to face two switch-hitters and Judge?
They should have taken Bonds, Mcguire, and Sosa’s name off this record years ago. It’s an insult to the names that deserve to be there.
I don’t even watch baseball and this guy is exciting
Idk how many games are left this season. But I think AaronJudge will bypass babe Ruth in most home runs in a single season.
Aaron hit 61 homers in 154 games, which means he bested Babe Ruth’s 60 in 154 – a quest that alluded Roger Maris in 1961, forcing the “61*” asterisk.
That gives Aaron 8 more games to hit another, for 62 (or more) in 162 games, to beat Roger Maris’s Yankees / American League record.
All while hunting down a triple crown, for one of the most impressive offensive seasons in the history of the sport.
Tied for the all time record in my books.
Anyone else remember when two juiced guys were chasing this record and everyone was ignoring that they were roided to the gills and then congress embarrassed Rafael Palmero and all of this went back to the way things are?
The fact that the Huston Astros are still a thing takes all legitimacy away from baseball.
My favorite part of this is that we can all cheer for him like its never happened before and claim that its because its “the most anyone has ever hit in American League history”. If this was in the NL, we’d all be legit excited, but it would be muted.
Who gives a shit.
