HOMM3 was never about graphics. It looks nice, sure, but there is a reason why they couldn’t replicate the success of this title in the following years.

Heros IV had the best campaign stories with the pirate, the barbarian, the undead guy (Gauldoth?), a story where Solmyr the genie plays a central role, etc
This is where I spent a significant part of my childhood. I’d kill for a UE5 remake that changed absolutely nothing else.

Tower theme, necropolis theme, and stronghold theme are still on my playlist to this day, nearly 20 years later. What a formative experience that game was.
3 was a fun game and all, but my heart will always belong to the nostalgia of Heroes of might and magic 2. If you typed 32167 on the overworld it would add 5 black dragons to your team so I always felt like a boss even though I was like 7 years old at the time and had no idea how to play the damn game properly 😂
I saw this a while back (in video form), and I had such a smile on my face. What a beauty.
Reminder: Death threat to the company made them scrape a whole town called Forge. Still bummed over what could’ve been and there’s been only scarcely few original concept arts about it.

I loved this game. Always and forever a Warlock (although I dabbled as a necromancer…the vampire’s BLAH!! shove and fly away is a core memory soundbite).

HOMM3 is one of the all time greats of gaming. I hope it is legit remade someday. Not the Bs remasters they have done.

I was 8 when this came out and have so many fun memories with my brother and dad. Heroes 2 and 3, Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics were some I remember most from those years. Good times.

Saturday, bag of candy, sleepover at my best friend’s house and HoMM3 hotseat. Those were the days. I always played Rampart because their castle looked so peaceful and nice inside.
Because of this picture I’m reinstalling, thanks. My wife is not a gamer, but she will sit and will play heroes 3 with me if she wants it or not. And our cat too.

Not sure if I was just a kid and sucked at this game but I remember playing against the computer and after 5 turns they were coming at me with cyclops and hydras while all I had was a dude with a pitchfork like wtf.

Is this the Game where you come across a Goblin Village or party of about 200+ and they all attack you but only 12 can attack you at the same time (surround you).. you kill 12 in one round and 12 more Goblins step into their spot… rinse and repeat? And all the Castles you break into have tons of hooks and grapples?

It is unreal what people still do with this gem of a game. Probably the best turn-based strategy ever. Maybe someone can pitch an actually decent RE-Remaster with all the content and maybe HotA as DLC to Ubisoft. The engine already exists, the community is there, come on Ubi, let us have this.
