Holy shit, I haven’t thought about He Is Legend in *years*
They go all the way back to the myspace scene kid days.
I’ll have to give their newer albums a listen
White bat is such a great album, I’m digging this one so far. Supposed to go see them in charlotte tomorrow night but I got the flu, sucks.
Love this album so much. Time’s Fake is my favourite on the album so far.
I’m so happy to see He is Legend on here. These guys are amazing and Skylar just had a great interview on the Peer Pleasure podcast.
This is definitely the theme song to a Super Namekian.
Loved these guys for years. When I moved to Wilmington, NC 15 years ago they were THE Local band here. Skylar is a bartender at a local bar and has been for years. Its cool to pop in and talk with him. I got to sit in a couple of their jam sessions years ago when they were making “few” and Denis and Sam were in the band.
Absolutely love these dudes.
This is so GOOD holy shit. This album is shaping up to be fantastic.
I remember seeing He Is Legend play in a small small town like 30 min outside of Sioux Falls, SD. There was less than 50 people there and HIL put on one hell of a show. This must have been like 2005.
Fuck yea, didn’t realize they dropped a new album! Instant spotify download.
Yep, He Is Legend fucks.
Love these guys!
Went to a concert with He is Legend, I Killed the Prom Queen, It Dies Today, and Silverstein(of all bands) as the headliner back in 2004-2005 and they were easily the most fun to watch. Glad you posted I didn’t know they were still making music.
In 2005 their old guitarist Mackenzie(R.I.P) let my band stay at his house while we were on tour in NC and we went to one of their shows at a small club. The show was off the wall and all the other guys were down to earth dudes.
I stopped listening after It Hates You, but it seems I’ll be revisiting them
Halfway through this and it’s so fucking good.
Attack of the Dungeon Witch still goes hard
I would not have pegged this as southern rock listening to it.
They really were unique
This band is still around?? Wild
Is this the DBZ reference that I think it is?
I really dig the new stuff the boys have kicked out, but “Suck Out the Poison” will never be topped, in my own humble opinion. That entire album is perfection.
Magnolia, I’ll be coming home. Real soon.
I haven’t ever imagined I’d see a he is legend post on here. I am one of their biggest cult fans, tattoos the works.
I hope this means they have made it, for 30 years they have just been crushing it.
Growing up in NC as a southern Baptist (ugh) and having lost faith as an adult, this song resonates hard. Love it.
Ah man totally forgot about HIL. This also just reminded me of Lord Gold Throneroom by HORSE the band… so the rabbit hole begins
Love this band. I live in Atlanta and see them every time they come through. They have been one of the only bands from my “scene days” that consistently put out great records. They have never been better than they are now.
