He came for a signing at a local comic store a few years back and the invite said the prices for photo/signing but said he’ll shake your hand for free. I was going to do the latter but told my wife “eh nevermind I don’t want to bother him” when we went. She had a laugh and said “OMG you’re still scared of the Hulk!!”

He recently came to our city for a local comic-con and had absolutely nobody in line to see him the whole time we were there. He spent the whole time talking to his assistant and ignoring every other person there. He wouldnt acknowledge any passer by nor entertain any fanfair that wasnt paid for. Which is fine. He looked very disinterested in being there.

A couple of things about Lou:
1. He’s hearing impaired. This inspired his training. He always had to work twice as hard to be just as good.
2. He is an uncrowned Mr. Olympia. Dude was out sizing and out massing everyone. Politics kept him from the Sandow and it’s irritating to this day.
If it was filmed today the shorts are all you’d see.

Nice person, I was working in Brooklyn NY like 12 years ago and I meet his mother, what a wonderful person, told me good stories about him when he was a young kid growing up in Brooklyn NY.
