“There is no compulsion in religion”
“You’re free to follow what you want”

Sure, free to follow what you want all the way to the executioner’s block

Let me get this straight, someone criticizing your oppressive policies is actually oppression? But state implementation and enforcement of oppressive conservative policies based on a religion that not everyone follows is actually NOT compulsive?

You’re the ones getting all upset about some colorful armbands – no one is compelling you or anyone else to believe anything.

Why is the WC even in Qatar? If you can’t stand other people you might be inclined not to host international events of this magnitude.

    Hi OP,

I’m worried this place will get pretty hostile for you. I just wanted to say that I think the main problem is how we define imposition. To impose something it means forcing someone to do something. So you could force Harry Kane to not wear the rainbow. This is imposition. However by wearing the rainbow Harry Kane is not forcing anything on anyone. He is merely stating his belief. You can ignore it or like it but it does not force you into a certain behaviour.

I disagree that Kane is imposing anything on anyone.
