I’m loving this art style and the song itself is just great. I wish they were as big as they were with Demon Days and Plastic Beach, but it doesn’t really matter if guess if Damon keeps pushing out fantastic songs.
I’m glad he’s still making music but I really hope he releases a full album this time. I kinda lost steam with the song machine model and how it was released. I just want a full album that I can spin and take in. Was there even a theme holding song machine together?
can anyone explain the storyline going on here? i remember leaving off with Humanz, but The Now Now didn’t have a hugh storyline it seemed, and The Song Machine wasn’t a storyline at all, but now we’ve got this.
Saw them a few weeks ago at a festival. Damon was completely off his face on something, all over the place. Absolutely amazing show. 10/10. Would recommend.
I loved the funkiness of the beat but the vocals could really have been so much more. I know it’s part of Gorillaz style to have the main vocals flat and direct the to the point, but damn I would have loved some soul and passion from the vocals.
Gorillaz stuff always feels like a boppy track with the blur man muttering something over it, which i’m sure is aces for him, he can get proper mullered and just bang out the audio great once in the studio. The animation is great, sure, but the music is bit eh (many an artist has stooped to just saying/singing over boppy shit, i get it).
Just a shame is all, i miss the personality the music had with Blur, this is all very muchy muchy, boppy boppy. Again not saying it’s bad, just more generic.
This is good and I like it. Although, I feel as if it is missing that special “something” they had with their earlier work with Demon Days and Plastic Beach. Every since those they have just been good instead of special like they had been.

I’m just glad to see more Gorillaz.
Jeez, that is the most overproduced song I’ve heard in ages
Crazy how good Thundercat is at bass
I did not know Gorillaz was still a thing. I will be having a good weekend.

what happened to Noodle ????
Maybe the start of Song Machine vol. 2?
Well, that’s an…interesting new look for Noodle.
“they taught themselves to be a..” ….cow?
i love this track. just curious what you heard for that lyric
nah

its ok gorillaz, you can just call it Britain

Can’t we just have blur back. 🙁

I kind of wish they would make a tv series.
I feel like I haven’t seen something from the Gorillaz in forever
This is the best track Gorillaz have released in years. Bring back the melodies and hooks of Demon Days.
Holy *fuck* this slaps.
More Thundercat plz thx

Not a fan of Noodle’s look these days.
Unpopular opinion coming in. Thats was dogshit.
Found my repeat jam
I’m really digging this. I don’t normally listen to too much Gorillaz, but this made me start digging through their catalog on Spotify.

Damn, Thunder Cat with those effects looks awesome
Looks like it was done by the same people that did the No Save Point music video for Cyberpunk.
Good lord I fucking love this song
This is good and I like it. Although, I feel as if it is missing that special “something” they had with their earlier work with Demon Days and Plastic Beach. Every since those they have just been good instead of special like they had been.
Well that was decent, nothing amazing, but still, pretty fun song. No idea wtf is happening there, but eh, still fun.
Not as fun as the older Gorillaz tracks and I miss the 2d animation. They dont look special anymore, just every other 3d animation.
Thanks, I hate it
Just saw Gorillaz live last night. Fucking awesome show. Very glad I went.
Today I learned that Gorillaz is the singer/lead of Blur. I’m 37 and I’ve heard their music for 20+ years. I feel dumb.
cracker island= britain?
Literally just saw them live last night and then they go and drop a new song
Dig it, getting jaimoiroquai vibes
What a generic boring song. It has nothing that made the old Gorillaz famous.
