You would think that one of the four largest sports leagues in the United States, when doing something experimental that they had never tried before, might consider mitigating potential risks by not playing a game dependent on ice in the middle of the fucking desert.

Man I thought it was gonna be such a shitshow based on how the video started. I’m really happy they chose to improve on the idea instead of scrapping it.

Listening to Bob Miller and Jim Fox brought back so many memories. I loved the 90s Kings. I still love them, but that was a magical time for me. Did I start watching hockey more because of Gretzky coming to LA? Absolutely! He basically made California hockey popular, and anyone who says differently probably isn’t seeing the bigger picture.

Who had the bright idea to play an outdoor game in Vegas in September. Typically, after Halloween you should have cold enough weather, but no in September. I know there’s novelty in a warm hockey game, but I’m glad it had worked out.

Wow, the goalie-cams are freaking awesome. Bring that back!

Growing up in the post Roy world, its hard to remember pre-butterfly goaltending. It’s so wild.
