Nobody expected Francis to respec into wrestling mid-match! And heavily injured at that!
It’s called The Thump and JYD was the king of it.
A huge win for Francis that will age better and better as Gane improves. However, Gane was only one good decision away from becoming world champ. If he would have retained top control in the 5th and not gone for that leg lock we would have won.
I think if Francis leaves and Gane improves his wrestling and grappling, he gets the title and reigns for a while.
