This issue is quite an interesting cultural divide in the cricket world, comparatively common in India/subcontinent but not in England/NZ/Aus
I have no problem with this. The batter was trying to get an advantage by moving up the pitch. Clever play by the bowler and within the rules.
I don’t give a fuck what’s in the rules. I’m not having it. The values of sportsmanship demand a warning in advance. And the fact that the sub-continental teams don’t care about sportsmanship is the divide here.
