For some reason I completely forgot Zooey played the older sister to the main character/reporter in ALMOST FAMOUS. I forgot Jimmy Fallon did an excellent job as the new manager of the the band. This film has such an excellent and large cast no wonder I forgot until I re-watched it recently.
But, I will never forget Frances McDormand played the strange mother in the film. Never.
Emily looks the same as always, but I would have never guessed that that was Zooey. I just do not see the resemblance.

My ex used to work at the [very swanky] nursing home where she lived. Though it might have been their other grandma, I’m not sure. Apparently the entire family is extremely nice. That’s my anecdote.

Zooey does NOT look the same in any way, shape or form. I wouldn’t have known that was her with a gun to my head.
But then again I was pretty sure that Zooey and Katy Perry were the same person for years so take what I say with a grain of salt……..
I actually took care of her (their grandmother) right before she died (actually the night she died… and the three days beforehand) in the hospital I worked at as a CNA, in Oregon. And I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt, that THAT woman was the sweetest and yet most spit-fire ladies I’ve ever met in my life. She had a fire in her that didnt squench until her last moment.
Amazing woman.
She must have said something to Emily beforehand about my bedside manner and kindness (I guess) because as I was giving Shift-Report to my relief CNA, Emily just kept staring at me from across the room. Eye to fucking eye.

I was today year’s old when i learned Zooey Deschanels mom was Eileen Hayward in Twin Peaks
