I recently beat Link’s Awakening for the first time in my life, with a print-out map I made. Game holds up very well.
Zelda or Final Fantasy both have engaging stories
Definitely Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. What a game.
I”d be going after Zelda or Tactics personally
I would go for Link’s Awakening or the Diddy Kong game. Both are very good.
Imma say something different and say Millionaire. The info and questions are bound to be dated. I think it would be a fun challenge

Tactics was DIFFERENT. I loved that game. I regret giving it back to my cousin when I was little
Warrioland was one of my favorites.
If you press pause and then the select button 16 times a cursor comes up and you can edit the number of lives you have and stuff.
Not gonna lie: The Harry Potter gbc games were awesome in their own way. Enjoyed them way more than I expected to.
Final Fantasy
My vote is for Zelda, but now I’m reminiscing about Wario Land.
I have played six of those.

Link’s Awakening is an all-time favorite. Challenging enough to be fun, but not so much that you couldn’t knock out most of it in a 3 day trip.
FFTactics is also great, but far more of a time investment
Warrioland is actually pretty good and tactics advanced is a very good one, probably the best of that genre
Donkey Kong Land is so good, the music is great and nostalgic. Wario Land is also fantastic, and so is Link’s Awakening.
Zelda or Tactics as your main. Tetris for a change.
Zelda most definitely
Not a game suggestion but just some general advice.
There is a chance that the backup battery on the game cartridges have died. You should probably start the game, do a quick save, turn the game off/on, and see if your save file is still there. If your save file is gone, then you would probably want to play a different game on your trip.
Tetris Zelda Pokémon are probably the most playable for me.
Lol sucks none of those will save the data
FF Tactics Advanced, you’ll probably end up playing it more than just those three days.

Donkey Kong Land was a personal favorite of mine. Took me forever to finish as a kid but I still remember the satisfaction.
To 100% it, though, some of the hidden coins are kinda BS, be warned.
Tactics Advanced and Links Awakening
Both are hugely nostalgic for me in high school and middle school respectively.
Tactics especially can rack up 150 hours easy.
I was always a fan of the gunner and ninja classes myself
DK is basically a better Super mario
Wario Land is fun
Pokemon (Gen1-3 , or nowadays romhacks because quality) never disappoints
