Yep he signed free brekky and lunch for all pub school kids. She made it easier for children to work.
Edit- ya, what CG says below!!!
BoTh SiDeS aRe ThE sAmE
For everyone else, that’s Minnesota governor Tim Walz (Demcrat) and Arkansas governor Sarah Sanders (R)
That’s some uncanny valley quality dead eyed smiles on the right. Nobody in that picture wants to be there.
Walz 2028.
Minnesota is a great place.
Arkansas is ranked 47th in education, in America. Smokey Eyed Sarah’s bill will help them drop to 49 or 50th.
You guys should create two countries. The cool one and the racist one
The kids on the right look like Hitler Jugend or some slimy wall street bankers
For a non American. What am I seeing?
Jesus. How many of those children did she eat? Did any escape at all?
How did she become governor? All her she did was lie for trump and had a dad who was a previous governor… for real though, what are her qualifications?
Left side is goofy kid smiles and in a classroom/cafeteria, definitely a quick smile for the camera moment.
Right side; dead inside after the 4 hour flight to a capitol city, forced to be at some politicians office for a PR photoshoot, literally have no clue about what’s going on. Definitely thinking about how they’d rather be home playing Minecraft or be watching TikTok videos.
How the goddamn hell did Sarah Sanders become a governor. Just encase you didn’t think this shit was a cult just being associated gets you green lite to be whatever you want. Disgusting.
Minnesota is nice.
Little story about Tim: My family was invited to a party at the governor’s house. My son was 2-3 at the time. Tim spent most of the night not mooching up to important people but “playing” piano with my son or helping him find the cat in the house. Tim is not in it for the power or politics, he is an educator turned politician he just wants to help kids.
Breakfast and lunch for all kids. Roll back of child labor protections. Who’s team are you on? Republicans are trash.
Why would anyone want to move to a red state? It seems so bleak there.
I’m trying to figure this one out. The governor on the left feeds children and the governor on the right, eats children?
Those happy faces on the right really speak volumes.
Nothing like going to work when your ~~friends~~ parents/bosses are playing and learning.
Why are those kids on the right still standing around? The bill is signed! Get to work lazy commies! /s
I really like Tim Walz. He seems like a genuinely nice guy (with a strong Midwestern accent and everything) and is doing a good job running Minnesota.
Seeing the picture of Tim Walz with the kids reminds me of how great the midwest can be. I know a lot of coastal Americans think we are just rural or mostly GOP occcupied, but notice the progress made (and this is just most recent!). Gretchen Whitmer this week just signed an expansion of protections for LGBT Michiganders, JB Pritzker just signed a bill for a minimal PTO to be offered for workers, Wisconsin’s Tony Evers and Kansas’s Laura Kelly have been holding the line (esp on abortion) and making progress against challenging legislatures, and Minnesota’s Tim Walz is making sure kids can focus on learning, developing, making friends instead of listening to their belly ache from hunger during school.
If the DNC knew how to campaign, I wouldn’t even be worried for our future, but they don’t. We keep hearing the glamorizing of people like Huckleberry and DeSantis and Nikki Haley, who have accomplished what? Artificially low taxes because their states get federal money to alleviate things they refuse to invest in? Sending kids into meat processing plants? Stealing books so you can force kids how to think?
People sometimes scoff at places like Minnesota or Michigan, but they are becoming pretty great places to live. I would rather live amongst people who care that kids can eat rather than moan that they are going to be leeches of the government. Kids don’t choose what quality of parents they get coming out the damn womb.
Next, Arkansas will allow you to own people.
Anything signed by Aunt Lydia is suspect. Also Republicans have been targeting public schools for awhile now.
Her state of Arkansas just got busted for violating child labor laws.

The dream of the right is the obedient little worker/slaves. Where as a progressive future is one of happy humans. So, both sides here have accomplished another step into their dream world. It’s time for humanity to choose what world they want. This image is a perfect campaign poster. spread far and wide with your pitch.
The kids on the right are just tired from their shift at the meat packing plant.
I can’t comprehend the logical some people have where they see providing children with food during school as a bad thing. How evil or twisted do you have to become to be against that. It’s unconscionable.
People don’t realize that states are like individual little countries. They have a lot of autonomy, so West Virginia may be like a 3rd world country while Massachusetts is more developed that Europe (debatably iirc). The US didn’t change the child labor laws, *Arkansas* changed their own laws…
It’s the reason our whole country seems to be a complete shitshow. It is a shitshow, but it’s not homogeneously distributed.
On the left we see love and joy and kids being allowed to be kids. On the right, not so much.
As one who lives in Minnesota, I can say Walz is awesome! I also have a child in school. He is not only a governor, he was also a teacher and is a veteran (24 Years of service!!!) My favorite thing so far: during the start of lockdown, there were those who fought mandated mask policies as well as social distancing. They would protest and yell about how masks are evil, and he is a terrible governor because he followed CDC rules. He came out and said, “I am doing what the experts recommend. If you don’t like it, vote me out next election.” He got reelected.
Why is r/pics so political lately? Can’t we wait until an election year to start this.
This is the best example that I have seen in quite a while of the difference between Democrats and Republicans.
