If you ever feel useless, remember that there’s a fast travel option in Spider-man 2.
I only used fast travel in Spider-Man 2 when finishing up the platinum
I don’t usually use fast travel. If a game is big enough to warrant it, I don’t wanna miss out on sidequests between towns.
Depends on the game and what iam doing in the game
Depends on the game. I don’t know how to fast travel in Spider-Man since I never thought to figure it out.
I’m usually a fast traveller except the spiderman and batman games. Cos that’s basically what the new spiderman game are, but the combat is simultaneously worse but cooler.
Survival fallout 4 killed me, especially all the back and forth glowing sea quests. The radio kept me going
I’d do it sometimes in Spider-Man 1 (PS4) just for the fun loading screens and if it was kiddy corner across the entire map.
From my time in Guild Wars, I’ve just been conditioned to fast travel as much as possible.
In Spider-Man 2, it’s pointless because the swinging is half the fun.
I haven’t played SM2, but in the first one I didn’t click the Fast Travel one time. Traversal was just about the most fun thing in that game.
Fast travel???? I gotta do my flippy flips for 9XP bro to gain a skill I forget to use when I panic and start button mashing when health runs low
Depends on the game ofc
Fast travel in spidey? Not a chance
Yes
Depends if I’ve explored everything between my route and destination I will usually fast travel if there’s unexplored areas between then I don’t
Depends I’ve fast traveled in Spiderman if I’m in the middle of something, (and to see the funny cutscenes), but usually I just normal travel.
Same with other games. Fast travel for getting plot underway, normal for just roaming and having fun
I travel normally when it’s a simple and fun map to traverse, But on new play through air completion I fast travel
I fast travel and then explore the area
Depends on how fun traversal is. In Spider-Man or Forspoken, I traveled in-game, but I’m not going to walk, ride a horse, or in a car for like 10 minutes.
I only fast traveled in spiderman 2 to see what they changed I missed using the trains
Walking is such a drag I always use fast travel
I used it in the first game, not the second. But the second game was also easier to platinum and you had the option of Web Swinging, Web Wings, and fast travel to get around New York, so there was more than enough options to get around town to get the platinum without fast travel.
In the first game I fast traveled because I hated having to constantly be pressing and releasing R2 to keep moving. I found it annoying after a while, so if I had a far way to go that I could fast travel instead I did. Like imagine if you had to push a button for each step you took when you walked in a game, that would be so tedious. This isn’t as bad, but if you’re playing for hours you start to notice.
If the trip is very long or boring, absolutely.
Normally if games have random events in the world then i try not to fast travel in case i miss them but if thats not an option & ive explored the area enough, ill fast travel
ASAP 👍
I never use fast travel because it is an big immersion breaker for me.
Some games have mechanics to shorten travel times significantly, that are also believeable in the games’ universe, though. They are all right for me.
It depends on the game and how far I’m going. In RDR2 I went into cinematic mode for far journeys because I’d still get all the encounters but I didn’t have to steer the horse.
Depends on the mood I’m in at the time, and what I’m trying to accomplish at the moment.
Yes I use fast travel if the destination is far away, but I also like to enjoy the world
It depends on the game. The new fast travel in Star Ocean 2R is a massive QoL improvement.
Honestly, how do you fast travel in spiderman 2?
I pull up the map and see the option, but it is always greyed out.
RDR2, I usually fast travel all the time.
if u fast travel in a spiderman game ur missing the point
Starfield players: yes
I don’t mind when the fast travel system is hidden behind some other mechanic. For example using a transit system. Bit more restrictive than just travel immediately to this spot on a map but much more realistic and immersive
Playing rdr2 and cyberpunk rn, BIG YES for rdr2, big no for cyberpunk
Call me weird, but I’ve never used anu fast travel in Witcher 3, Horizon Z Dawn and RDR2 😬
